Being Fit
At Hope Spinal Wellness we love being active and taking part in sport. Our aim is to help people be their best in life and their chosen activities. Your enjoyment and performance can be dramatically improved by optimising spinal balance and alignment whether you are walking the dog or training for an Olympic medal.
Veronica loves the outdoors and has always maintained an active lifestyle. Not to be outdone and actually inspired by her husband Scott, Veronica took up distance running in 2005. Veronica regularly runs and competes every year in the Canterbury half marathon; in 2005 she completed her first marathon. Dr Veronica regularly does Yoga and gym classes to stay fit and also loves horse riding; snow skiing, water skiing and runs regular stretching classes at the local gym. Her motto is "life in motion".
CORE BALANCING WITH VERONICA
Veronica runs a core conditioning and balance class exclusively for practice members at our local gym, Kingsmead Leisure Centre. The class is tailored for individual's abilities and utilises the Swiss balls and lots of laughs.
Scott Hope: Completing the Ironman Lanzarote 2006 and 2007.
Scott successfully completed one of the toughest endurance races in the world, the Lanzarote Ironman in May 2006, just one year after taking up the sport. What is great is that twelve months previously Scott, father of two, could hardly swim, did not own a bike, and had never run a marathon. Regular spinal adjustments were an integral part of Scott's ability to deal with the gruelling training schedule involved. After swearing he would never do it again, he then went on to complete Iron man 2007. Scott also loves water skiing, swims regularly and attends the Gym.
